NGN: Cometa’s Weis likes WiMAX

Multimedia 802.11e standard speeds up, taking power back from vendors
The Wi-Fi Alliance says it will skip an interim certification for
multimedia and voice over IP extensions to 802.11x, since it seems
that the IEEE standards body will fast track the full standard,
802.11e, to be approved by June.
